During the period of 12-20 July, 2003 the IIHF In-Line Hockey World Championship will be held in Nuremberg and Amberg, Bavaria, Germany. This is the second time that 16 teams participate in the world’s greatest Championship of in-line hockey. Among the 16 teams we greet two newcomers South Africa and Australia. It is for the first time that we have an African representative competing on the world stage. These sixteen countries will compete to determine who will be the true Champion of the World. Read more

Finland is back on top
Finland returned to the top of the podium, claiming the gold medal at the 2003 IIHF In-Line Hockey World Championship with a 5-3 victory over Sweden. It is the third time in four years that Finland has won the gold medal at the world championship. The game was a highly anticipated re-match of last year’s gold medal game between the two nations. |

The games are played in Nürnberg and Amberg
The games are played in two cities Nürnberg and Amberg. The World Championship Pool B will primarily be played in Amberg. The A pool World Championship will primarily be played in Nürnberg. All three arenas will be provided with ATAK Sport Court floors, the official IIHF Championship Floor. |
